Generally speaking, some white fine lines can be seen inside natural crystal. Artificial crystal is actually made by mixing sand, potassium carbonate, glass shavings and at least 25% lead oxide. These crystals or glass are cut into small pieces and then polished. The more cut surfaces that are ground, the greater the ability to refract light.
